I had big plans when I first landed my flexible, work from anywhere job. I was going to dye my hair turquoise and magenta. Go jogging in the middle of the day. Rent a villa in Italy for a month and work from there.

One more doable idea that I had was to work from a different location every day, going off of that free wifi hotspot chart. See the city and get shit done. Only, it’s a lot easier to just start working as soon as I get up.

February 1 is my six month anniversary at this job, and needless to say, it hasn’t been all that exciting. I did go jogging whenever I felt like it— until it got cold. I haven’t made any bold hair choices, or even clothing choices; I usually wear pajamas or loungewear. And sometimes, days go by without me even going outdoors.

Anyone else have a work-from-home career? How do you maximize your time?
