As some of my close friends know, I wrote the first draft of this blog post about two months ago. But then I got trigger shy. My blog is about analyzing fandom, not making money. I was worried that if I advertised my affiliate program, even if it didn’t cost my readers any money, they would think I sold out.
Eventually, I became okay with that. Because of the whole “not costing readers any money, even if they do take me up on it” thing. Now I’m just excited. Maybe I’ll get to know more of my readers (every one I’ve met so far has become a friend.) Maybe I’ll help somebody kickstart an awesome blog. I can’t wait to find out.
