Like a lot of heterosexual women, I first got into the Gundam franchise through Gundam Wing (Duo was my favorite.) When I was on Deviant Art looking at Gundam Wing fan art, I would sometimes notice pictures people had drawn of a guy who kind of looked like Zechs Marquis, but I’d never heard of the other Gundam series. It wasn’t until college when I met my fiance, who goes by GundamGuy online, that I realized how much more to the franchise there was! Wouldn’t it have been hilarious if instead of showing me the original Gundam, he laughed at me for being ignorant? I bet he would have never gotten a date.
